## Abstract We investigate a stable semiconductor fiberβring laser (SFRL) whose output power can be controlled by external light injection. Based on this SFRL, we develop a novel laser for keeping its output power approximately constant when the input power is changed over a dynamic range of 17 dB.

Dynamic molecular recognition of synthetic carbohydrate ligands by lectins is described. When bipyridine-modified GalNAc is reacted with Fe(ll), four diastereomers of the trivalent GalNAc ligand are formed in dynamic equilibrium at room temperature. The equilibrium allows the three GalNAc residues
