โฆ Synopsis
The separation of bovine serum albumin and bovine gamma globulin from their mixtures in solution by microfiltration with porous stainless steel supported titanium dioxide formed-in-place membranes was investigated. Strong dependencies of the separation factors on protein concentration, pH and ionic strength were observed. High separation factors were obtained for dilute solutions at pH near 8.3 and without added salt.
