## Abstract It is shown that for special directions in piezoelectric cubic crystals Stokes and anti‐Stokes waves couple anharmonically also with longitudinal phonons. The dispersion functions of the coupled waves can be represented by simple analytic expressions, if the coupling with the anti‐Stoke
