Single crystals of Cs 3 CeCl 6 and CsCe 2 Cl 7 were grown by the Bridgman method. Both Cs 3 CeCl 6 and CsCe 2 Cl 7 have been evaluated for application in gamma ray detection. The scintillation properties of these crystals such as emission, decay time, light output and energy resolution are presented
