โฆ Synopsis
Saturated polyesters were prepared by the reaction of 1,3-(dicarboxymethoxy)benzene with ethylene, diethylene, tetramethylene, and hexamethylene glycols. Also, unsaturated polyesters were prepared by the reaction of 1,3-(dicarboxymethoxylbenzene and maleic anhydride with the same glycols. All the polyester resins obtained have been characterized, and the unsaturated polyesters were found to cure with styrene. The properties of the cured polyesters in the form of films were determined. IR and 'H-NMR spectroscopy were used for both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the polyesters as well as their hydrolyzate products, after curing with styrene.

## Synopsis A series of polymeric composites were prepared with sand/polyester ratio 928%. The sand used was local one. The polymeric composites were tested for their compressive strength, exterior volume, porosity, water uptake, specific gravity, volume of open pores and bulk density. The mechani
A set of new aromatic polyamides were synthesized by the direct phosphorylation condensation of 4-(1-adamantyl)-1,3-bis-(4-aminophenoxy)benzene with various diacids. The polymers were produced with high yields and moderate to high inherent viscosities (0.43-1.03 dL/g), and the weight-average molecul
