The v2 mode of methyl iodide has been measured in isotropic and anisotropic Raman scattering, and in infrared absorption in the neat liquid and in isotopic dilution with the deuterated compound. The local field affecting the shape and position of the intense infd profde has been taken into account b

Abstract
The issues related to the simulation of specific absorption rate (SAR) in a high frequency magnetic resonance coil are discussed in this work. Using simulation results, it is shown that the effect of the nonimaging modes on SAR can be substantial and thus must be taken into account. Also a technique for the estimation of SAR for coils with complicated geometry is presented. The presented technique will be useful in cases where the conventional finite difference time domain simulation is not practical because of large memory requirement and/or excessively long computation time. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper is a sequel to reference [1]. In that paper, the dynamics of the steelpan notes were developed as systems of non-linear mode-localized oscillators. The present paper examines the coupled note-note and note-skirt systems on the steelpan modelled as a plexus of non-linear oscillators interc
