✦ Synopsis


The molecules of the title compound, C 19 H 21 N 3 O 3 , are linked by a hydrogen bond between the amide NH group and the ester substituent in the 1-position of the pyrrolidine ring. This gives rise to a helical chain that propagates along the a axis of the orthorhombic cell by a 2 1 screw translation.

In the title compound, C~18~H~18~ClN~3~O~3~, the pyrrolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation. The dihedral angle between the phenyl ring and the pyridine ring is 28.30 (7)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonding.
