β¦ Synopsis
A simple and easy method of analysis for salicylic acid in pharmaceutical powders is reported. Room-temperature phosphorimetry using potassium iodide as heavy atom enhancer was applied to the determination of salicylic acid without any need for prior separation. Possible interference effects of active ingredients present in the formulations were evaluated. The analysis were performed by both the calibration curve and the standard addition procedure.
