The origin of some unusual events detected in X-ray emulsion chambers (XEC) of the Pamir experiment is still not sufficiently understood. One such unusual phenomenon is the observation of so-called penetrating cascades in deep lead chambers. Estimates show that qualitatively such events can be expla
