โœฆ Synopsis

The significance of soldering in high pressure die casting (HPDC) of magnesium alloys could have a major economic impact on die casters and a study of the soldering phenomenon during HPDC of magnesium alloys has been undertaken. In this paper results of dip tests are presented involving the immersion of samples made from H13 tool steel into molten magnesium alloys with different aluminium and manganese contents.
