Room-temperature lifetimes of the 'Do emission of Eu 3+ in Na3[Eu(oxydiacetate),]\*2NaCI0,+6H20 (EuODA\*H20) and Na,]Eu(oxydiacetate)s]~2NaC104~6Ds0 (EuODA.DsO) are reported. Radiative and non-radiative contributions to the total excited-state relaxation rate are determined for both compounds. It is
