โœฆ Synopsis

For inference regarding relative potency in dilution assays with possible latent effects, a robust procedure is proposed. Monte Carlo studies show that this procedure compares favourably with h o r n procedures. The theory is illustrated by an application to the tolerances of c a b for tinctures of strophanthus.

## Abstract Regression coefficients are regarded as stochastic variables in order to account for this kind of variability. This is needed, because differences in responses at successive doses vary generally and thus the assumption of constancy of regression coefficients is violated.

The relative risk is an important parameter in certain epidemiological studies. It is given by the ratio of the rates of developing a certain disease between the exposed and the control group. This paper deals with the Bayesian estimation of the relative risk using: (a) uniform [0,1] priors; (b) res

Effects of temperature on genotoxic potency of cisplatin were studied in the Drosophila wing spot assay. A fixed concentration of 0.05 mM cisplatin was evaluated for genotoxicity at 4 temperatures (18, 20, 25, and 29 degrees C). The compound was found to be a positive inducer of all three endpoints
