โœฆ Synopsis

In this work we deal with robust control of a class of first-order nonlinear systems which contain uncertainties. To cope with the uncertainties, an observer-based controller is proposed, and the uniform boundedness of all closed-loop signals and semiglobal practical convergence of the system state are guaranteed. In contrast with some previous attempts to relax the a priori knowledge on uncertainties bounds by using discontinuous control law, we propose a dynamic compensator which leads to continuous control laws. The applicability of the control scheme to regulation of temperature in stirred tanks and one-point control in distillation is shown by numerical simulations. 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. In this paper, we propose an adaptive controller for a class of first order nonlinear systems: ~ = -O\*rf(x)b'u, subject to bounded input and output disturbances. Unmodelled dynamics are also considered in the stability analysis. A dead zone in the parameters update law is used. The dead zone size d

We consider a control design problem for a class of mismatched uncertain systems. The uncertainty is (possibly fast) time-varying. A new way of characterizing the structure of uncertainty is submitted. A class of robust controls, which is based on the possible bound of uncertainty, is proposed. The

In this paper, robust stabilization for a class of uncertain systems with multiple time delays is considered. A procedure of controller design for the global asymptotic stabilization of such systems via linear control is provided. A numerical example is given to illustrate our main result.
