## Abstract Cerebral oedema is a well recognized but uncommon complication of diabetic ketoacidosis, occurring predominantly in children. We report a fatal case of cerebral oedema associated with progressive hyponatraemia in a middle‐aged woman during treatment of newly presenting diabetic ketoacid
