✦ Synopsis


We would like to announce the availability of the Richard M. Goodman Fellowship for Research in Jewish Genetic Diseases. The goal of the Fellowship is to provide salary support for a young M.D. or Ph.D. (preferably an Israeli) at the beginning of his or her research career.

One Fellowship of $15,000 will be awarded annually by the National Foundation for Jewish Genetic Diseases, Inc. It will allow the Fellow to choose a research Preceptor (preferably a n internationally reknown Investigator in North America) to pursue innovative research on some aspect of a genetic disorder which occurs more frequently in Jewish people. The Fellowship should be a minimum of three months, preferably six months or an academic year. Applications are due by December 31, 1993. The Fellowship stipend will be available after January 1,1994, and will not be renewable. For information and applications contact Dr. Desnick at the add.ress below.
