Ribosomal ribonucleic acid (RNA) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from P. aerug&osa were compared with respect to their protective activities in mice against an infection with P. aeruginosa. This study is concentrated on the protective activity of RNA. RNA isolated from purified ribosomes did not contai

A crude ribosomal fraction was extracted from Microsporum canis. The ratio of spectrophotometric readings at 260 and 280 nm was 1.56 and the nucleic acid to protein ratio of the fraction was 1.5. A delayed intradermal hypersensitivity test in guinea pigs was positive and dose related.
