✦ Synopsis

We present herewith proof that the configurations of veratramine and of jervine are correctly represented by formulas I and II, * respectively, rather than by III and IV, as previously postulated (1). It follows that the configuration of verarine, which has been shown (2) to be 23_deoxyveratramine, must be revised accordingly.
