The cardiovascular effects of bepridil, a calcium antagonist, were investigated in pentobarbital-anesthetized dogs. The intravenous administration of bepridil, 5 mglkg, produced significant reductions in heart rate, cardiac output, and cardiac contractility. There was an initial transient marked inc
