โœฆ Synopsis

In accordance with the decisions and recommendations of the UICC, certain goals and guidelines were given to the Journal when it was launched in 1965. The publication should be a truly international journal. As part of a world-wide organization, it should attempt to make publication and distribution of scientific papers effective and equally convenient for scientists in all countries of the world. The papers should be either in English or in French.

The Journal should be open to researchers in allfields of cancer research. It was felt that in this way the Journal could best promote the exchange of information and ideas between the numerous and diverse special fields involved in cancer research. A particularly important task was seen in the attempt to help bridge the gap that often exists between clinical and experimental research.
