โฆ Synopsis
The comments are greatly appreciated. The Lancer Ethnicity Scale (LES) was developed for the purpose of more accurately selecting the proper candidates for dermatologic laser therapy. The Fitzpatrick Skin Types were developed for purposes of evaluating the patient's potential responses to UVA and UVB radiation treatment. The Fitzpatrick categories are perhaps not always applicable in choosing the candidates for laser therapy because the clinical physical characteristics of any given patient may not clearly reflect the wound healing response. Characteristic complex ethnic familial qualities are determined by history rather than by physical clinical presentation of the patient's skin, eye, and hair color. The purpose of LES was to alert the clinician to potential hazards because clinical presentation may not clearly reflect variation in laser radiation response.
