Suntech America -a subsidiary of Suntech Power Holdings Co Ltd -with headquarters in Wuxi, China, have signed a letter of intent to cooperate on the manufacture and marketing of each other's building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products. As part of the cooperation, Suntech will manufacture Open Energy's SolarSave PV tiles in China. The companies will also market each other's portfolio of BIPV products within the North American market, and Suntech will have the right to acquire up to 5% of the outstanding shares of Open Energy.
