✦ Synopsis


A comparison of some problem-solving characteristics of twenty-five neurotic patients and their matched controls was undertaken. No significant differences were found. These results appear to support the contention that the encroachment of neurosis upon problem-solving behavior is limited to those situations in which the degree of threat is sufficient t o precipitate disequilibrium.
