## Abstract High molecular weight polyoxyethylene (PEO) was synthesized by using a quaternary catalyst composed of triisobutyl aluminum, phosphoric acid, water, and __N__,__N__‐dimethylaniline (DMA). Optimum synthesis conditions and some properties of the product were studied. This catalyst showed
