This special issue is devoted to exploring and understanding relationship marketing. Although relationship marketing is a relatively new area, it has been gaining popularity among marketing and psychology researchers and practitioners. During the past few years, relationshipmarketing-related articles have appeared in many business journals. However, there is little agreement as to what relationship marketing is, how it is formed, and to what extent it is useful.
