PROBLEM
Little research attention has been given to the alleged relationship between WISC Digit Span@) and distractibility. The Devereux Child Behavior (DCB) Rating Scale") contains a measure of distractibility apparently suited for such an investigation. Of the DCB's 97 items, four comprise the Distractibility Behavior Factor. The more distractible the child appears t o the adult rater, the higher is his Total Raw Score for the Distractibility Behavior Factor. In the present study, it was hypothesized that WISC Digit Span performance would be negatively correlated with this measure of distractibility.
