## Abstract The acid catalyzed condensation of 4,5‐diaminopyrazoles and chalcones gave the hitherto unknown 1‐benzyl‐2,4,6‐triphenyl‐2,3‐dihydropyrazolo[3,4‐__b__][1,4]diazepines derivatives. The structure of all products was supported by ir, ^1^H and ^13^C‐nmr and mass spectra.
## Abstract The synthesis of a series of substituted 1‐benzyl‐3,4‐dihydroisoquinolines by __Bischler‐Napieralski__ cyclization is described. Competitive methylene blue sensitized photo‐oxygenation experiments allowed the determination of relative rates of photo‐oxygenation of 1‐benzyl‐3,4‐dihydrois
