Two highly conserved forms of cellular retinoic acid binding protein (CRABP-I and CRABP-II) have been described, and one, CRABP-II, is highly expressed in human skin. We have utilized a 10-kb fragment containing the human CRABP-II (hCRABP-II) gene (isolated from a human genomic library) to localize
