✦ Synopsis

Abstract

That technology and globalization are rewriting the rules for 21^st^ century business is undisputed. Both have opened rich new veins of products and places where they are sold. Yet the authors report that a leadership crisis is emerging in the Asia Pacific region fuelled by the twin forces of economic expansion and demographics, with the Baby Boomer generation retiring faster than the executive pool can be replaced. The authors examine the challenges posed by these critical trends for both Asian and Western companies.
