## Abstract The phosphorylation of hydroxy groups by polyphosphoric acids is shown to be inhibited by carboxyl functions, but the phosphorylation of hydroxy acids can be realized by using their esters, amides or nitriles; the phosphorylated derivatives obtained yield the phosphohydroxy acids either

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The action of polyphosphoric and orthophosphoric acids on glycols and hydroxy‐ethers is described. Apart the phosphorylation of these compounds, some of the side reactions which may occur (etherification of the hydroxy‐compound, scission of the hydroxy‐ether, etc.) are studied.

## Abstract Two mono‐aminoalkyl‐phosphoric acids (aminoethylphosphoric acid and 3‐amino‐1‐propyl‐phosphoric acid) are shown to be hydrolyzables in alcaline medium.
The reaction of phenylphosphonic oxide with amines and amino‐alcools is described. Under appropriate conditions this reaction yields respectively the corresponding phosphonic mono‐amides and mono‐esters.
