After a brief discussion of the general behavior of magnetism under high pressure across the periodic table, the use of pressure as a parameter in Kondo-lattice and heavy-fermion systems is outlined. The physical properties of both classes of systems depend on the magnitude of the characteristic Kon
We review some recent developments of high-order response theory and illustrate the utility of this theory for a selection of nonlinear properties.
The induced fundamental vibrational band of H z in He, Ar and N, has been studied up to 8 kbar at room temperature. Band profiles have been computer analyzed. Induced intensities, normalized spectral moments and autocorrelation functions are determined.
