โœฆ Synopsis

I986 :CFz radicals are directly detected by transient absorption at 249 nm in the TEA CO, laser-induced decomposition of CDF,. Vlbrationally hot :CFz radicals, T,z 725 K, are produced in a 4-5 ps time scale. Second-order decay of :CFz radicals is also observed, yielding the dimerisation rate constant Kz = 4.2 x 10' M --' s-'.
