We receive increasing numbers of emails from banks or service providers offering special deals for their customers, or reporting malfunctions in service infrastructure. If the email comes from a bank or other source with whom we have no relationship, it immediately sets off alarm bells. If, on the other hand, it appears actually to have been sent by our bank, we are less likely to question its authenticity.
