Solubilities and transfer chemical potentials of carboplatin, cisplatin, iproplatin, and several related platinum complexes have been determined in methanol-water mixtures. The range of solvation behaviour is discussed in relation to possible oral administration of complexes of this type.

✦ Synopsis
The radiation reduction of platinum complexes Pt(PIA)2 (214 and Pt(PIA)2 C12, in methanol and aqueous methanol solutions have been examined. The intermediate oxidation states Pt(IIl) and Pt(I) have been identified by ESR in solid state. The yields of Pt(I) depend on the kind of halide ions in the complex. The corresponding rate constants of reactions between the complexes and e~ojv have been determined by pulse radiolysis. The attempts to determine the rate constants of scavenging of oxidizing radicals by the complexes using pNDA as the competitive scavenger were unsuccessful because of the low corresponding rate constants and the secondary processes of pNDA incorporation into the complexes.

## Abstract Methanol reacts with water under supercritical conditions to form a hydrogen rich gas. This reforming reaction can be performed without the addition of a catalyst. Typical reaction conditions are 25 MPa pressure and 600°C temperature and short residence times. The tubular flow reactor u
Computer simulations of an initially disordered molecular fluid composed of water and methane exhibit a phase-separation into a cylindrical core of methane molecules surrounded by an aqueous phase. A water/methane/methanol system also supports two phases, with only a weak preferential salvation of t
