✦ Synopsis
The results of studies on effects of the amount and type of oxirane, amount of catalyst and water, and temperature on the course of reactions taking place in the system N,N,NЈ,NЈ,NЉ-pentakis(hydroxymethyl)melamine (PHMM)-oxirane carried out in aqueous media are reported. Quantitative determination of the content of functional groups present in the system and of side products formed in reactions of oxirane with water, made it possible to analyze in detail the processes taking place in the system.

## Abstract Detailed measurements on the kinetics and stoichiometry of the oxidation of __N__‐methylformamide and __N__,__N__‐dimethylformamide by aquosilver (II) ions are reported. Four Ag ions are consumed for each amide, and the reaction is first order in [Ag] and first order in [amide]. The rea
## Abstract The substitution of __N__‐alkyl substituted ethylenediamines for chloride ions in the rapidly equilibrating system has been investigated in aqueous acid medium. The kinetic data can be accommodated by the general rate law where __n__ = 0, 1, or 2 and __m__ = 0, 1, or 2, depending on w
## Abstract magnified image A novel approach for the Aza‐Michael addition reactions between various amines and α,β‐unsaturated esters, nitriles and ketones using N‐donor Ligand catalyst (3 mol %) is described. The reactions are carried out in aqueous media at an ambient temperature to afford the p
