β¦ Synopsis
The reactions of bis[bis(trimethyIsilyl)methyl]germylene (1) and the corresponding stannylene (2) with di-tert-butykliazidosilane gave N-(azidosi-1yl)germanimine (4) and the stannanimine (5) in quantitative yields. The structures have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal data for 4: space group P7, Z e = 2, a = 9.236 ( I ) , b =

Trimethylsilyl)methyl]sodium [NaCH 2 SiMe 3 ] (1) was prepared by a metathesis reaction of [(trimethylsilyl)methyl]lithium [LiCH 2 SiMe 3 ] with sodium tert-butoxide in n-hexane. Polydentate donors such as N,N,NΠ,NΠ-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) and N,N,NΠ,NΠΠ,NΠΠ-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine
The title diamines were synthesized by condensation of 1,Cphenylenediamine with paraformaldehyde and a suitable phosphorus acid triester. The N,N'dibenzoyl derivatives of the above compounds were also prepared. New flame-retardant polyamides were synthesized under various experimental conditions by
