## Abstract A plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) surface was modified by azidation using sodium azide in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst in aqueous media. Subsequent to azidation, the surface was crosslinked using ultraviolet radiation. Contact angle measurements showed that the surface bec
