## Abstract A new method is proposed for determining chemical rate contants in dimerization reactions of globular proteins. Light scattering from a solution of charged macromolecules in and applied electric field gives a series of bands whose widths can be used to deduce the reaction rate contants.

Polarized dynamic light-scattering measurements on superhelical pBR322-plasmid DNA solutions in 0.2M NaC1,2 mM NaPi, pH 7.0,2 mM EDTA result in a translational diffusion coefficient D$, , . c = (3.77 f 0.10) X cmz/s for the native molecule. Modeling the DNA, in the simplest approximation, as a 10 X
The diffusion coefficients of humic matter samples (Purified Peat (PP) Moss and Fluka) in solution were obtained by both dynamic light scattering (DLS) and voltammetric methods. The diffusion coefficients from voltammetric measurements are greater than those determined by DLS, due to the different w
The collective internal dynamics of transfer RNAPhe from brewer's yeast in solution was studied by depolarized dynamic light scattering (DDLS) . Within the melting region of tRNA the depolarized spectra consist of two Lorentzian, where the narrow (slow) component describes the overall rotation of th
