✦ Synopsis

A microwave-enhanced, solventless Sonogashira coupling reaction has been developed. Terminal alkynes couple with aryl or alkenyl iodide on palladium-doped alumina in the presence of triphenylphosphine and cuprous iodide to provide high yields of products.
