## Abstract A rapid, sensitive and specific high‐performance liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC‐ESI‐MS) method has been developed and validated for the determination of oxatomide in human plasma. Flunarizine hydrochloride was employed as the internal standard (IS).

✦ Synopsis
A simple, one-step method has been developed for the analysis of the components of egg phosphatidylcholine. The method allows, in one run, (a) determination of the total number of carbon atoms and double bonds in the acyl chains of individual components in the mixture and (b) unequivocal assignment of the position of the acyl chains on the glycerol backbone. The presence of degradation products and impurities can be established in the same run.
