## Abstract __N__‐Benzoylhydrazones (=__Nβ€²__‐alkylidene‐substituted benzohydrazides) **1** are allylated efficiently by reaction with allyl bromide (**2**) in the presence of Zn in aqueous NH~4~Cl solution.
