โœฆ Synopsis


Raman spectra (using 5 14 and 740 nm excitation) of high-purity single crystal CbO are presented for the high-and low-temperature phases, showing activity of all "gerade" modes. Within the experimental accuracy, the spectra are found to be consistent with the selection rules for Raman scattering in both the high-temperature fee and low-temperature 2a0-fee phases of solid C6,,. A complete assignment of the observed peaks is proposed.

The Raman and infrared absorption spectra of single crystal were studied. The observed CdBr 2 Raman and infrared lines were assigned to the internal vibrations of glycine molecules. The vibrational spectra show that the glycine molecule takes the form of the zwitterion in the crystal.
