✦ Synopsis


The Raman and infrared absorption spectra of single crystal were studied. The observed

CdBr 2 Raman and infrared lines were assigned to the internal vibrations of glycine molecules. The vibrational spectra show that the glycine molecule takes the form of the zwitterion in the crystal.
