โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

Lowโ€frequency Raman spectra are reported for monodisperse oligoโ€oxyethylenes with hydroxy and alkoxy end groups. Assignments are made to the longitudinal acoustic modes. The results are modeled by a rod with a longitudinal modulus E โ‰ฅ 2.2 ร— 10^10^ N m^โˆ’2^ and perturbing forces as large as (alkoxyโ€ended oligomers) or larger than (hydroxyโ€ended oligomers) those suggested for the nโ€alkanes.

## Abstract The chain modulus of poly(ethylene oxide) is determined by the Raman longitudinal acoustic mode method with the aid of a normal coordinate analysis and found to be 1.3 ร— 10^11^ dyn/cm^2^. Our normal mode calculations provide a clear basis for explaining the discrepancy between chain mod

This work presents the results of Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy investigations of the disorder-longitudinal acoustic mode (D-LAM) of oligo(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether-lithium trifluoromethane sulfonate solutions in dependence on oligomer chain length, temperature and salt concentration. T
