Large step in profiling

The vertical scan range of the XP Series of high performance stylus profilometers has been extended. These instruments from Ambios Technology, Inc. are designed for precision measurements of step height, thin film stress, film thickness, and surface roughness. The profilers can now scan through a z-range of 400 µm, allowing large steps to be characterized on a variety of sample surfaces. This makes the XP Series Profilers suitable for surface measurements from the nano-to micron scale.
