โœฆ Synopsis

Photolysis

of benzofurazan N-oxide in chloroform generates the nitroxyl radical l( 3H)-benzofurazanyloxyl via hydrogen abstraction from the solvent molecules by the photoexcited lowest triplet state benzofurazan N-oxide. The photoreaction of benzofurazan N-oxide in triethylamine provides the diethyl nitroxyl radical derived from the amine through oxygen transfer.
