✦ Synopsis

A series of patients with localized Hodgkin's disease who were treated with irradiation has been reviewed. Some patients had received prior chemotherapy and, with relapse of disease, were referred for radiotherapy. At the time of irradiation all patients were in good general condition and still had limited disease. The areas of clinical involvement were irradiated with dose-time factors successful in providing prolonged if not permanent local control under ordinary circumstances. A significant failure of local radiation control resulted in the drug treated cases as compared to patients treated concurrently with radiotherapy per primum. T h e incidence and rapidity of relapse suggests the possibility of chemotherapy having altered the radiation response.
