## Abstract Optical study of mechanical response indicated by Knoop indentation of cleavage faces of synthetic sodium nitrate crystal based on MEYER's Law/KICK's Law (__P__ = __ad^n^__) and also on modified KICK's Law {(__P__ — __W__) = __bd__^2^} expressing relations between applied load __P__ and
## Abstract We argue that the IR‐ and Raman‐spectra of “L‐alanine alaninium nitrate” given in “Investigation on the growth, optical behaviour and factor group of an NLO crystal: L‐Alanine Alaninium nitrate” by Aravindan et al., Cryst. Res. Technol. **42**, 1097 (2007), actually concern L‐Alanine. C
## Abstract The formation of the new compounds of L‐alanine alaninium nitrate and L‐alanine sodium nitrate has been presented with adequate explanation with the aid of the FTIR, XRD and NLO measurements as a reply to “Comments on papers reporting IR‐spectra and other data of alleged L‐Alanine Alani
