## Abstract Two sesquiterpenoids, spatulenol and (β)βcaryophyllene oxide, were isolated from the hexane extract of the Brazilian plant __Vernonia mollissima__ Don. The ^1^H and ^13^C NMR spectra of these compounds have been reassigned completely by COSY experiments and ^13^C/^1^H shift correlation
A careful NMR analysis with full assignment of the 1 H and 13 C spectral data for two minor saponins isolated from stems of Cordia piauhiensis is reported. These saponins were isolated by high-performance liquid chromatography and characterized as 3b-O-[a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-.1 β 2/-b-D-glucopyranosyl
