Abstract

Pyrylium salts 3 react with (benzyloxy)amines 2 generated by hydrazinolysis from their N‐(benzyloxy)phthalimides to afford in moderate (35–65%) yields the corresponding title salts 4. The ^13^C‐ and ^1^H‐NMR spectra of the latter compounds are reported.
