Fifteen new pyridazine and phthalazine derivatives were prepared (in good to excellent yields) and tested in vitro as antimicrobial compounds. All the compounds have proved to have a remarkable activity against Gram positive germs, the results on Sarciria Luteea being spectacular. Correlation structure β biological activity have been done. Stereoβ and regionβ chemistry involved in these reactions are discussed.

## Abstract A novel series of (__Z__)β1β(arylhydrazono)β1β(benzothiazolβ2β²βylthio)propanβ2βones have been prepared and their utility as building blocks in the synthesis of novel derivatives of Pyridazinβ6(1__H__)βones, pyridazinβ6(1__H__)βimines, and phthalazine incorporating a benzothiazole resid
